Relentless Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to expanding access to high-quality, year-round S.M.A.R.T. (Science, Math, Art, Reading, and Technology) education for students in grades 1–12, preparing them to thrive academically, lead confidently, and pursue meaningful college and career pathways

OUR STORY

Relentless Academy is a Twin Cities-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to youth, arts, and education. Founded in December 2019 by Nicoshia Wynn, a wife and mother of three. Relentless Academy was created out of both personal experience and a growing community need.

Like many families, Nicoshia and her family struggled to find affordable, accessible academic summer camps that would help students maintain what they learned during the school year and prepare confidently for the next grade. As she spoke with other parents, she realized this challenge was widespread. During her research, she also uncovered deeper barriers impacting students and families especially in underserved communities across Minnesota.

In Minnesota, many students of color continue to face persistent academic gaps. At the same time, many summer opportunities available to families are more social than academic, leaving students without structured support to maintain or accelerate learning. Nicoshia also recognized another critical gap: limited access to financial literacy education knowledge that is essential for building stability, closing wealth gaps, and creating long-term opportunity.

She also saw how inequities in access to high-cost STEM learning experiences like coding and robotics, can limit pathways into growing careers in technology, engineering, and related fields. When students don’t have exposure to these skills early, entire communities can be left behind in innovation-driven industries.

Motivated by a clear need and a relentless commitment to do something about it, Nicoshia launched the S.M.A.R.T. Summer Program (Science, Math, Art, Reading, and Technology) infused with music and financial literacy. Designed for youth in grades 1–8. In 2022, Nicoshia developed the Mogul City Youth Internship Program for High School Students focused on career and readiness and leadership deveopment. Both of these programs are designed to help close academic gaps, expand STEM access, and empower students with the confidence and skills to thrive in school and life.

Today, Relentless Academy continues that work with its year-round youth acceleration programming that blends academic support, STEM pathways, and an 8-month internship program to move underserved students toward proficiency, career readiness, and leadership. Additionally, in August of 2025, Relentless Academy established two scholarships for Relentless Academy high school students who wish to continue their education at a post secondary education or vocational trade school.
